GRW x Notification (“we,” “us”) — a Shopify app that sends automated order notifications to your customers by SMS and/or WhatsApp when new orders are created, according to rules you configure in the admin.
read_orders, we receive orders/create webhook payloads from Shopify. We store order identifiers, status, totals, line items, and customer contact fields needed to send notifications (for example customer name, email, and phone number from the order or customer record). We may retain a copy of the webhook payload for processing, deduplication, and support. This data relates to your store’s buyers and is processed only to provide notification automation you enable.read_products and write_products, we access product data only as needed for app features that integrate with your catalog; we do not use product data to profile individual buyers.customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).Automated WhatsApp sends in the default configuration are limited to Egyptian phone numbers (+20) when a valid mobile number is present on the order; other numbers are not messaged unless you change product behavior in a future release. You control whether automation is enabled and which channel(s) are used.
Data is stored in the database and infrastructure configured for this app (for example PostgreSQL). We retain session, shop, billing, order, notification, and settings records only as needed to run the service. When you uninstall, Shopify removes app access; we delete OAuth sessions for that shop. After uninstall, Shopify sends a shop/redact webhook; we then delete remaining app-held data for that shop, including orders, line items, webhook event records, automation settings, scheduled notifications, notification logs, WhatsApp template copies, usage records, shop records, and any remaining sessions, to the extent we hold them.
For customer-specific requests, Shopify sends customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks; we respond by locating and exporting or erasing customer-linked order and notification records we store for the identifiers Shopify provides.
We do not sell your data or your customers’ data. We share information only with subprocessors needed to operate the app (for example hosting, SMS, and Meta/WhatsApp delivery), each processing data solely to provide the service. Shopify processes store and order data as the platform provider under Shopify’s terms and policies.
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you as a merchant or staff user, and to request handling of your customers’ data in line with applicable law. Uninstalling the app stops new data collection and triggers Shopify’s data erasure flows for records we store for your shop.
